Neck liposuction is a type of facial contouring surgery that gets rid of stubborn fat underneath the chin using liposuction. Neck Liposuction Procedure Steps

Neck liposuction can be performed as an outpatient procedure using a local anesthetic. Dr. Roussel will begin your procedure by creating small entry points under the chin through which a cannula and surgical vacuum can be inserted. This allows Dr. Roussel to carefully break up the fat and remove it, sculpting the chin and jawline. Finally, your incisions will be closed, and you can return home.

Neck Liposuction Results and Recovery

You can expect to take around one week away from daily activities like work or school. Dr. Roussel will recommend limiting your activity level and resting throughout this initial recovery. She will also provide detailed aftercare instructions on managing swelling, watching for complications, and following up. It’s important to keep your head elevated and wear a chin strap to help the skin adhere to the new contours. You should wear this regularly until cleared by Dr. Roussel.
